The mission to #ReclaimSA is not a spectator sport. It is built on the collective power of its people. Every voice, every skill, and every action counts. This page is your roadmap to joining the movement and contributing in the way that best suits you.
Get Involved: Your Pathway to Action
There are four key ways to get involved and help build a better South Africa, from showing your support to leading change in your community.
Amplify Our Voice: Follow & Share
The simplest yet most powerful way to start is to help us spread the message. By following and sharing our content, you break through the echo chamber and bring new energy into the movement.
TikTok: Follow @reclaimingsa , powerful videos from the front lines of change. #YouthReclaimSA
Twitter (X): Follow @ReclaimSA_ for real-time updates, urgent action alerts, and joining the national conversation. #ReclaimSA
Instagram: Follow @reclaim.sa for inspiring visuals, community spotlights, and behind-the-scenes stories.
- 📘 Facebook: Follow Reclaim SA for community updates, campaign highlights, and powerful stories from people reclaiming their future.
WhatsApp Channel: This is where the action happens. Join your local provincial WhatsApp group for hyper-local updates, event coordination, and direct engagement with members in your area. (Link available after membership registration, web form coming soon!).
Discord Group: Follow on #ReclaimSA-Youth. This is our digital discussion centre for organisers and interested community members. This is where we coordinate strategy, share resources, and mobilise for nationwide action.Your task: Follow, Share, Repeat. Every share introduces someone new to the possibility of a reclaimed future.

Join the Growndswell Team!
To remind us that this movement is made of people, not just ideas, we will soon launch a Member Spotlight section.
The Groundswell Team is the operational heartbeat of #ReclaimSA, a network of citizen organisers established and managed through our digital command centre: a central WhatsApp Community with over 1,500 members. From this hub, we coordinate a national presence through 12 dedicated groups, including nine provincial chapters (like our 800+ member Gauteng group) and specialised teams for major actions, such as our 1,024-member Economic Inclusion March group, which reached full capacity. This agile structure enables us to decentralise action while maintaining a unified strategy. This has been critical for rapid mobilisation for both localised community projects and large-scale national advocacy campaigns. This movement started less than a week ago, after all!!!

Next Steps: Building Our Collective Power
Our momentum is growing, and our focus is now on channelling this energy into organised, impactful action. Here’s what’s coming next:
- Official Membership Launch: We’re finalising a membership registration form. This is a great reason for you to follow us on social media so you can be the first to find out when the form is launched! Signing up demonstrates your support and allows us to strategically mobilise skills, time, and resources from across our network. This is how we turn passion into coordinated action.
- Citizen Journalist Platform: From our membership, we will launch an initiative to capture and share the real stories and experiences of South Africans. This ensures our movement is driven by the voices of the people, not the headlines.
- Strengthening Our Structure: We are formalising local organising teams to lead action in every province and growing our national coordination to ensure our impact is both local and widespread.
- Member Spotlight: A new section is coming soon to highlight the incredible people behind this movement. This fosters transparency, builds community, and reminds us that people, not just ideas, drive positive change.
This is how we build a movement that lasts: We Organise! Amplify! Act! Stay tuned for updates!
